Tombstone is located at an elevation of approximately 4700 ft. Our seasons do change and with them, changes in our climate. Winter is delightful and offers both the warmth of the sunshine along with a few occasional days of light snow. But for the most part it is a great time to visit. Spring is also wonderful; for with the arrival of spring brings the arrival of the fragrant blossoms that bloom on The World's Largest Rose Tree. The weather is usually quite pleasant and not too hot or cold. Summer brings with it the heat of June with our temperatures sometimes rising to around 100 degrees - but it's a "dry heat". July through September are usually our wet months with the monsoon rains coming in mainly in the late afternoons. With the monsoon rains comes cooler temperatures and, of course, the humidity. This is the time of year to be aware of the many washes that you cross in our area and be cautious when crossing them. The signs, "Do Not Cross When Flooded" are there for a reason. From October to December the average daily temperatures drop and the evenings become cooler. Each season offers its own rewards - why not visit many times?!
